Kaufman, TX.  102 Dogs & 27 Cats Rescued!

 Two Oklahoma Animal Rescue Organizations, Sheltering Tree Animal Rescue Society in Lawton, OK and Altus Animal Aid, Inc. in Altus, OK rescued 102 dogs and 27 cats from a Kaufman, TX Collector turned Puppy Mill this past Saturday.  Working with the Humane Society of the United Stats (HSUS), American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Texas (SPCA) and local law enforcement agencies; Sheltering Tree and Animal Aid were able to rescue and transport the animals to predetermined locations in Oklahoma and Texas.  About 30 dogs were transported by both rescue organizations to the Lawton Animal Welfare Shelter in Lawton, Ok.  Lynn Ramos President of Sheltering Tree Animal Rescue Society and coordinator to the rescue and transport said “that some of the dogs will be going to Animal Aid for treatment and adoption and the rest would be treated and available for adoption in Lawton”.  Ms. Ramos wanted to thank Altus Animal Aid, Operation Kindness in Texas, Stray Dog Rescue of Texas, HSUS, ASPCA, SPCA of Texas and everyone else involved with this rescue and transport.
